So much shit happened today... Most importantly, this belt:
is finally home... February 17, 2008 Results...
-Big Show and Shawn Michaels both suffered from broken noses at the No Way Out PPV. -At Sunday's WWE No Way Out PPV there was an angle involving The Big Show and boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. This was a work but appeared very real as Big Show took some very stiff shots. They wanted to make this look as real as possible and did a hell of a job in doing so.- Part of WWE's decision to part ways with Ohio Valley Wrestling is that John Laurinaitis ear-marked a good amount of money for Florida Championship Wrestling, and to justify the investment, severed its nine year relationship with the Louisville based promotion.-There is still nothing new to provide regarding Rey Mysterio, Jr.'s injury this past Wednesday in Chile that is believed to have been a torn bicep. Mysterio is still slated to compete at the No Way Out PPV tomorrow night in Las Vegas against Edge for the World Heavyweight Title. Mysterio could work the injury tomorrow night and then do an angle that will allow him to rehab and be back in time for WrestleMania 24. -It is being reported by The Wrestling Observer that there was a last minute mandatory rehearsal for No Way Out last night at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Many members from the Smackdown/ECW crew, who just arrived in Vegas after a long flight from Chile, were said to be less than thrilled to hear the news about the rehearsal.
-Yuji Nagata, who competed against Kurt Angle on the "Global Impact" special for the IWGP Title, was rushed to the hospital earlier in the day when he showed up at Sumo Hall for the show complaining of severe pain in the brain and no control of the left side of his body. Although he was speaking clearly and his right side appeared to be fine, the belief is that he may have suffered a stroke. Nagata had been suffering from severe headaches two weeks ago, but continued to wrestle and never got it checked out. (Backstage Powers really wishes him the best of luck).
