Coal Miner's Glove Match- Sting vs. Jake Roberts PDF Print E-mail

Jake RobertsOctober 25, 1992- World Championship Wrestling "Halloween Havoc 1992: Spin the Wheel Make the Deal"... Earlier in the evening, the predecessor to the RAW Roulette was used to determine the gimmick match that would settle this feud. One has to wonder, "what is with professional wrestling's reflex to settle a good number of feuds in matches that involve poles?" Well, it's been a long time since we've seen any decent weapon on a pole match. It's a good thing Jake Roberts is in this contest, because he can carry Sting to make this rather interesting for a WCW match. Well... he can until he smells that beer in the front row... Oi...

Randy Couture (c) vs. RESUNA PDF Print E-mail

November 15, 2008- Ultimate Fighting Championships "UFC 91"... If you've been living under a rock, or your fanboy head has been stuck that far up your own ass, it's high time you look at this fight. Randy Couture left the UFC for over a year in a futile attempt to fight Fedor Emelianenko. Duing that time, the competitve landscape has changed, as a former WWE and IWGP Heavyweight Champion has become the biggest draw in the company. Brock Lesnar presents a unique challenge to anyone in the world of MMA, and is placed in a championship match after three fights.

The professional fighters at Sherdog were 28-6-10 in favor of Couture. Lesnar is a sellout for entering "fake wrestling", and can't handle Couture's experience... MMA fans need to hope that Lesnar is (not?) the Next Big Thing.

Don't dismiss pro wrestling. Sakuraba said "in fact, pro wrestling is strong". Inoki said "pro wrestling is strongest".
