September 10, 2006- PRIDE Fighting Championships "PRIDE- Final Conflict Absolute" PRIDE Openweight Grand Prix 2006 Tournament Semifinal... The Openweight Grand Prix Tournament put much of PRIDE's best fighters regardless of weight class in the ring. It wasn't to settle pound-for-pound disputes; it was just about victories. The winner of this match will face off against Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, who head-kicked the tar out of "The Axe Murderer" Wanderlei Silva in the other semifinal.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is looking to reclaim his status as the top heavyweight in the world; but since Fedor Emelianenko pulled out of the tournament, he has to settle with schooling Zuluzinho and surviving Fabricio Werdum. Josh Barnett has a bit of a tougher road as he managed to make both Aleksander Emelianenko and Mark Hunt tap. It's only too bad that this match will only be two rounds as it'll be interesting to see how Minotauro's Boxing/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu matches up with Barnett's catch/pro wrestling.

Just letting you know you: the flame shield is up; feel free to argue the match's result.
