November 6, 1985- NWA Mid South... This one better go to your archives as these two guys helped propel professional wrestling to its apex in the 90s. In one corner you have a 20-time world champion, Ric Flair. In the other, you have a muti-time North American champion in a pre-"Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. DiBiase is substituting for Butch Reed who is rather infamous for his no-shows (the Honky Tonk Man shows his appreciation). Seriously, who no-shows his/her challenge for a world championship? It's almost like no-showing the birth of your child, or something of that ilk.
Jim Ross moderates this discussion detailing the history of Hulkamania, which would have ran you over faster than a car on the Belt Parkway if you had lived in the 1980s. So many fond memories of the yellow and red are recollected and then the discussion is shifted toward one of the panel in regards to whether he was capable of being the star Hulk Hogan had become. You can feel the awe amongst the panel of Pat Patterson, Michael PS Hayes, Dusty Rhodes, and Mike Graham. Then again, you might also feel quite a bit of resentment amongst one or two of the panelists.
Oi vey... Consider this to be the WRESTLECRAP episode of the round table discussion. Moderated by "Mean" Gene Okerlund, the dialog is based on the worst of the worst and the best of the worst gimmicks ever presented by wrestling promotions, followed by remedies that worked in 1997 that clearly aren't in usage today by the creative department at World Wrestling Entertainment. Legends of wrestling:Mick Foley, Freebird Michael PS Hayes, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, and the first Intercontinental Champion Pat Patterson are on hand to reminisce at what happened to make many of us keep our favorite hobby a secret to hide our shame... and what could have happened to some of your favorite wrestlers. Oi gevalt...

Herm Edwards understands life. He also understands sports. Above all, however, he understands why we play the game. What game?
Well, it could be anything: the game of football is what he coaches, sure, but if you think about it, isn't life a big game? The game of life?
Man, I love that board game. Anyway, I gotta stop writing posts after drinking. Or, at least, I would, but I love you guys so much! You're the best, man! You've been there since day one.
